"Bunnies Steal Eggs from Chickens for Easter?"

Katelyn: "Rabbits lay eggs?"
Nathan: "No. Chickens lay eggs."
Katelyn: "Then where does the Easter Bunny get the eggs?"
Nathan: "He takes them from chickens."
Katelyn: "But there's candy in them."
Nathan: "That's because he takes them from the candy chickens."

I know. Torture the children on Easter. Make them look directly into the sun and smile. Alex was actually mid-sneeze while trying to say "Cheese".

That's better, Mom. Thanks.

On the hunt! (And yes, those are my beautiful flowers. They LIVED!)

The Lone February Photo

This is the ONLY picture I took in February 2008. Yeah, yeah I know. Shush.

Katie: One Year Closer to "Whatever Mom!" Age

Why didn't any of you tell me 6 is the new 14?

We had a princess dress-up party for Katie's 6th birthday. Her friend from next door came over. They did crafts, dressed up, and had cake and ice cream. Disneyland Grandma was even there!

Here you can see the casualties coming out of craft time.

Then the girls dressed up like princesses. Katelyn's friend's mom and I gussied up their faces and away they went!

Then it was time for cake and ice cream.

Nate's 7th Year on the Planet

For Nathan's birthday, we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese and then bowling. He had a blast!

Does this picture remind you of anyone? I'm thinking Pete and Ms. Pacman at the Chuck E Cheese. We have to have a picture of that somewhere!

The boys get all riled up when they play air hockey. It's best to stay back 10 feet or you may get a plastic puck to the eye.

The Year Without Christmas

I'm looking through all of my pictures and would you believe I don't have a single one for Christmas 2007? (Stop nodding your heads!)

I must have forgotten my camera or something. LAME! I bet Dad has some. Anyhoo, here's a few from around that time period.

Aunt Sara and her husband came down to visit for Christmas. So cute!

Halloween 2007

The kids had a blast this Halloween. All of the boys were Jedi and Katie was, of course, a princess. I tried to put green paint on Alex and make him Yoda, but he just wasn't havin' any of that!

The older kids took care of Alex. They all walked to the doors together. Ethan eventually figured out that the candy-hander-outters liked Alex a lot and gave them a lot of candy when Alex went first. So, being the entrepreneur he is, he began taking Alex up to the doors first and making Katie and Nate hold back.

Then when someone answered the door, they didn't even know what hit 'em:

"Here's my baby brother. He's a jedi. He's so cute, huh! Here's his trick-or-treat bag.....and mine!"

And then it started raining candy.

Pirates and Tiggers and Star Wars....Oh My!

We took another trip to Disneyland in October 2007. (Since Mom bought us annual passes, we figured we should use 'em up!) Awesome trip. Saw the California Waldron clan, met Jack Sparrow, saw The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted House and partied like it was 1999.
